Educational Certifications

Dr. Chang’s professional training in Orthopaedic surgery includes a completed Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Duke University Medical Center in 1997 and a Fellowship in total joint replacement in Indianapolis with the University of Indiana and Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital. He became Board Certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1999 and recertified in 2009. Dr. Chang has a special interest in computer-assisted, minimally invasive total joint replacement of the hip and knee. He has performed over 300 computer-assisted partial knee replacements a year which positions him in the top 1% in the United States for this procedure.

He has published numerous articles concerning joint replacement and has an interest in research of long-term outcomes of hip and knee replacement, pain management, blood conservation, and minimally invasive surgical techniques which include the anterior and mini-posterior hip replacement as well as partial knee replacement.  professionally.
